Detailed product description:
This small vase was designed by Per Linnemann-Schmidt for his company Palshus. Per established Palshus together with his wife Annelise in 1949 in Sengløse (close to Copenhagen). Palhus closed its doors in 1973, three years after Annelise passed away. Per and Annelise produced many different earthenware decorative objects and changed their style over the years. The earlier Palshu's designs can be characterized as minimalistic in form and earth-like in glazing, colors of winter and spring are used. After the 60s more bright colors are introduced and the surfaces of the items become more rough (through the use of chamotte).

The particular vase on offer here is an example of the minimalist style during the early period of Palshus. The smooth matte finish of the vase in cream-color along with the simple cylindrical form make it soothing to the eye. If I may make a suggestion, I would have this vase in a spot where it can "breathe", a room with earth-like colors without much finery would be best. What could be a nice idea (visible in one of the pictures) is to combine the small vase with one single flower, a very happy marriage it will be.
