A strong woman ahead of her time:

The Danish draftsman, painter, illustrator and multi-artist Christel Marott (1919-1992) debuted at the age of 17 as a weekly magazine illustrator and continued throughout her life to draw both for Danish and foreign weekly and fashion magazines such as Søndags BT, Femina, Vogue and Harpers Bazaar .

She has designed a famous series of Royal Copenhagen porcelain figurines that reproduce her interpretation of the 12 zodiac signs.

Under the stage name Christel, she became synonymous with her provocative long-legged girls with a very special vibrating sensuality, which is both sober and ovulating at the same time.
